Friday Fun!

The Friday design team has some fun projects to help you get your weekend started!  Seems the weather is wacky in a lot of places so my prescription for you is to spend the weekend inside crafting.  Enjoy!

It's the February part of my calendar. I use Bike With You Digital Stamp Single, which is perfect for your Valentine project. Go follow your heart..

Sometimes you really need to let your friend know that you are there for them. I knew this digi from Friendship Set 1 would be perfect for this. The girls are colored with Copic Markers and they make a perfect pair for this pop up card! The papers used are from Echo Park.

This cute digi, from the "Joyful Season" set is one of my favourite Chi Chi Memories images! With two little girls at home that adore the snow, this little cutie reminds me so much of their winter playfulness and happiness! I think she is perfect for winter birthdays, thank-yous or even "thinking about you" types of greetings. Coloured with Copics, and backed with some MME paper, this card makes me smile!

I made this card using the birthday boy stamp set which is filled with wonderful images and one can never have enough birthday cards. I made this gate fold card using the cake image in the set, inked it and stuck on top. I think this image brings back memories of how exciting it is to celebrate your birthdays as a child.

Time for Tuesday's design team peek!

Love these cards and the thoughts behind creating each one!

With Valentine's day right around the corner I thought it would be sweet to create a greeting with this wonderful image from the Sympathy collection. I colored most of the image with my Copics and then sponged the background with some chalk inks.

With Chinese New Year just a few days away (Friday, Jan. 31st), I wanted to make some cards for my nieces. I thought the January FREEBIE, Little Hood would be just perfect in traditional lucky red & gold! Here's to wishing you all a prosperous and healthy Year of the Horse!

I am so tired of snow that this week I decided to go with something non-snow related. I adore this sweet image from the Baking Fun set and new I had to create something with it. I found this great Doodlebug Designs DP and cupcake sticker from Petaloo and voila, here is my card:) Hope you like it!!

"For my project today I used the adorable and cute Winter Sport Peppy the Puppy! I love making these Mini 4x4 Pizza Boxes because they are great for little gifts or even gift cards...and they come together pretty quickly! I also love that Peppy the Puppy can be colored as a girl or a boy so he's pretty versatile! :)"

Enjoy the Sunday everyone!!

Friday's Design Team!!

Friday's team is sharing some great ideas to get your weekend started off right...with crafting!!

The very first Chi Chi Memories digi I came across was this daring image called Hug. I use it a lot for projects and cards for my little girls, but I think it would be great for a card for an aunt or even ann early childhood teacher! This image had been coloured up with Copics, and the paper is from MME.

I hope that it's not too early to make project with spring colors. I miss butterflies, birds and flowers, so here are they. I add this cutie from Spring is Here Digi Stamp Set, and wishing you a lovely day..

I think this is the perfect start to a 'love' card. Looks like one girl is trying to get the other to go up to the boy she has a crush on. I had fun working with different skin tones on this image. it's easy to forget when coloring it's not just hair colors that vary.

Tuesday's Design Team!

It's Tuesday again and that means the designers has some wonderful cards to share!

For my creation this week, I decided to use images from the Winter Sports set once again. I just love this set and wanted to use a couple of the images at once. I found this cool fold while digging through my drawer of ideas I have printed out and decided it would look great with a couple images. I hope you like it.

I knew when I received this image that I wanted to really make it the focus of a special card. I colored it with my Copics and then fussy cut the image out. I then found this wonderful rubon and added it to my card front and then added the fun bakers twine...finally I added my image using foam tape for dimension. I think little girl hugs are absolute bliss!!!

I am having too much fun with these snowboarders! I made a quick clean and simple card to draw all the attention to the cute snowboarding boy! I colored him with Copics , added clear glaze to his goggles & liquid enamel for some fun snowy effect.

"This adorable Winter Sport girl is perfect for so many occasions from winter cards, to birthdays to Christmas cards! I chose to use her this time with some cute Christmas papers I had in my stash. I love the non-traditional colors of pink, green and blue. I also added pop-dots behind one of the trees and behind my image for added dimension. This awesome shaped card is called a Circular Side Step Card and was perfect for the scene I created! You can find the tutorial on splitcoaststampers.com."

Enjoy the Sunday everyone!!

Time for Eye Candy!

We have some great creations from Friday's design team to share with you. They have crafted some outstanding cards and they hope to have inspired you to get your craft on this weekend!

Another creation using January New Release, Winter Sport. I add white embossing powder and Ranger Stickles Frosty Lace as the snow effect. The sentiment from the set goes perfectly with the happy boy image, makes me who live in tropical country wanna try the winter sport

Here is my little ski girl, I think this new release, Winter Sports, is just the cutest. I new I wanted her to be bright, that way she would be easy to spot on the slopes! She is colored with Copic markers and I used Glossy Accents to give her glasses that shiny raised look.

One of my favourite things to do is bake with my two little gals, so this digi is really close to my heart! I actually decided to use it on a little thank-you card for my parents who recently donated a mixer to me after mine decided to quite on Christmas Eve! I think this little image is so versatile, and it really has become one of my favourites to colour!

Its friday again and time for the desig team to showcase some inspiring creations with Chi Chi Memories adorable images. I used January freebie to make this card, how adorable is she?. For my card I used 5.5-inch square base, layered with some patterned paper and inked my image with copic markers which was so much fun. Hope you guyz will grab this freebie and join the monthly challange.

Tuesday's Team winter sports...

It's time to hit the slope with Tuesday's team.  They all used digis from January's new release, Winter Sports!

Who could resist a puppy on skis? I can't, so I had to color this cutie. Using my Copics I decided he would look super cute in browns with his holiday scarf he just got a few weeks ago.

Sending some 'warm fuzzies' from this cute skiing pup! This Winter Sports set is just in time for the upcoming winter Olympics starting in a few weeks- whether you're an athlete or a spectator he'll surely put a smile on your face!

Check back Friday for more team creations!

"I think this skiing bunny is adorable and perfect for winter cards! Makes me wish I could go skiing too! I glittered up his scarf and added liquid applique for the snow beneath his skis. I love raising my images on pop-dots to add dimension. I also raised the snowflakes in the top corner on pop-dots."

Friday's Team Showcase!

Using January's new release the Friday team created some delightful cards to get your mojo flowing.

Still with January New Release Winter Sport, and I'm still in the pink mood. As usual, I colored her with Copic marker and Faber Castell Classic Color Pencil. I add snowflakes, the white ones made from clay. I also put some Frantage and white embossing powder as the snow effect

This month's new release is just SNOW much fun! And then theme is perfect for all sorts of winter-themed cards - even thank-yous (which I have a bunch to send out this time of year). This cutie was coloured with Copics, and I topped off her goggles with a bit of Glossy Accents for some added dimension and shine! I think she is such a warm, bright way to say thank-you this time of the year!

I new I wanted to make a scene with these little skiers and a stair step card was the perfect solution. It gives the feels of different heights of little hills. I kept it simple so the focus was on the images and sentiment. The images were all colored with Copic Markers. I also used glossy accents on all three pairs of goggles, but it doesn't show well in the picture.

The moment I saw this image it screamed for a slider card, such a fun way to show some fun in the snow. I have never snow boarded before and this image makes me very tempted to try.

Tuesday's Team Eye Candy!

We have some more new release creations to share today.  The Tuesday team did an outstanding job with the new digis.  Don't you just love the new release!

Audrey

Lynda
Isn't she adorable...and all bundled up and ready to hit the slopes. I couldn't wait to color this image and pulled out a lot of blue Copics to give her a cool snowy feel. The sentiments included in this set are perfect to create just the right winter greeting card!

Lysa
I LOVE how versatile these images are- you can use them on cards and on scrapbook layouts! Using Photoshop, I duplicated, merged (& flipped!) the image of the snowboarding girl from the new January Winter Sports set for a perfect addition to this layout of my nieces!

Thank you for all your support for the past year and good luck everyone!!

New Release, New Inspiration!

Friday's team is going to end the week with some great creations showcasing the newest release, SNOW much Fun.

I thought this cute little pooch would make a great card for a little guy that might be feeling blue. I kept my embellishments simple and colored him with Copic Markers. I decided to keep the dog in the light brown family so he would be like one of our own dogs. I love this new January release, all the stamps are so much fun!

This is the first part of my 2014 calender (hopefully Nat and Cass let me stay to finish my one year project :D). I'm using January New Release, Winter Sport. She looks pretty in her pink winter suit

One of the things I often don't think about when designing birthday cards is the season in which the birthday falls. But this cool snowboarder is perfect to help celebrate winter birthdays for the cool guys in your life. especially with the great action pose! I added a bit of Glossy Accents on top of the lenses of the goggles for a bit of shine and dimension and just a bit of Stickles on the snow for a bit of shimmer. What a fun way to celebrate the cools guys in your life!

It is the season for winter sports and the adventure in the snow flurries begins. Be it snowball fights or snowboarding, come join the card making fun to express just that and more.  Chi Chi memories just released this wonderful stamp set with versatile winter sport images. I used them to make a card to express the winter fun so come enjoy with us.

Happy New Year Everyone! Wishing you all a Prosperous 2014 filled with Love & Happiness!

In the new year, CCM will continue to awww you with super cute digis! Here's the first set - Winter Sport:

http://www.chichimemories.com/product.php?id_product=132

We would love to start off the first day of the year with awesome & cute projects from our Guest DTs! We are happy to announce Dilyana K. and Rosemary B. to join our big family!

"This is my first card as a guest designer for Chi Chi Memories and I'm loving these CUTE and ADORABLE images!! I know many people are experiencing snow right now, except me because I live in Texas, haha! I decided to make a mostly white card for this cute Winter Sport Boy, but I had to add at least 1 pop of color and lots of texture. I used 2 different embossing folders along with stardust stickles and liquid applique. Another favorite craft item is pop-dots, which I used behind the image and front snow panel to give my card extra dimension. You'll also see bows on almost every project...even boy ones, haha! Thank you Nat and Cass for having me on board!"
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Holidays!!! =)
