Friday DT Showcase

Hello hello and happy Friday!  We are back for another DT showcase today!

Kim

"My card today is on the CAS side using Jordy from the Party Time set. I absolute adore this set. It is so versatile for any occasion. I colored in Jordy then fussy cut and used 3-D foam tape to adhere hime to the green embossed circle. I also used 3-D foam tape for the sentiment and added straight and zigzag stitches."

Karen

"The only thing that is cuter than a "little tiger" digi is a "little gal dressed up as a tiger" digi! This adorable stamp from the new Costume Set 2 set is perfect for all sorts of cards.  I used it for a birthday card, but you could replace the "birthday" part and encourage someone to celebrate for any kind of occasion!  How cute would this be coloured in red and pinks for a Valentine's card with the sentiment "You drive me wild" as well?  Hmmm...I better go write that down... ;)"

Melissa

"I thought this little guy would be dashing in an orange suit to show his Halloween spirit.  He is from the Party Time stamp set, but today he is offering up a pumpkin, not tea, showing just how versatile Chi Chi Memories stamps are."

Tuesday DT Showcase

Hello CCM friends and happy Tuesday, hope you are having a great crafting day!
We have a couple of super fun cards to share with you today!

Lynda

"I decided this week to showcase one of the wonderful freebie images you can find in the Chi Chi Memories store.  This sandcastle is just wonderful and I knew I wanted to create a sunset at the beach type card.  I used my gelatos and some wonderful canvas paper I had to create my scene. Once my background was dry I added the sandcastle that I colored with my Copics and the sentiment clear sticker."

Alice

"I love celebrations so I thought I use this set from Chi Chi Memories called, “Birthday Girl”.  These balloons are super cute and of course I’ve turned it into a boy card so you can see the versatile nature of Chi Chi Memories  digital stamps.  Celebrate today and get yours stamps from Chi Chi Memories."

Kerry

"Did you get the adorable October freebie yet?  She is super super cute and totally perfect for the holiday!  You can check it out HERE and play along this month challenge to win some CCM digi's"

Here's our guest DT's weekly project made with our October stamp set - Costume Set 2!

"I used Candace as my main image for the gift tag. Coloring was done with promarkers. I added pattern paper and a strip of blue ribbon in the tag too. There's also a glossy accent in Candace hearts, just to add some shine."

Friday DT Showcase

Hello hello CCM friends!
Are you ready for halloween?  Have you decide what are you or your kiddo going to dress up as?
Check out the adorable Jordy from the Costume 2 set and his party animal friends!

Melissa

Here is a little spook directly from Chi Chi Memories new October Release.  I really enjoy whimsical Halloween so these little costumed cuties are a blast to work with.  I wanted to be sure that my little tiger stood out so I cut a white base for behind him and I used pop dots to attach it to the image I cut out.  Then I used more pop dots on the back of the base that I adhered to the card.  Boo-Yah!

Marcee

Check out this adorable card using the new Costume 2 set.

Kim

"I am using this adorable party image from the Party Time set. I colored the image with Copic markers. I then embossed the green cardstock then added a bow and some pink brads."

Tutorial time with Karen

Hello CCM friends! We have a super fun card and tutorial by our amazing DT member Karen to share with you today using our new October freebie called Thanksgiving.
You can grab it HERE and join the fun!

Thanksgiving-full

I have a "two-for-one" goody of a post for you today! Not only do I get to show you the darling new FREE digi from ChiChi Memories (yup - I said free), but I also get to share a tutorial with you!

Thanksgiving-closeup

This darling little digi is perfect for this Thanksgiving season. We actually just celebrated Thanksgiving this last weeked here in Canada, and while I was cooking a turkey for my family, I looked just like her (okay, that might be a little bit of a stretch - as my preparations included a few choice words when I realized I couldn't fit the stuffing into the oven because the turkey was too big - other than that though... ;)). I coloured her up using Copics (my tool of choice for colouring), and used some cute new paper from DCWV called Modern Meadow. And the base of the card is actually a center-step card, and let me show you how you can create one too!

Thanksgiving-side

STEP 1

CCMT51

Cut a piece of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". This will give you a standard 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" once folded.

STEP 2

CCMT52

Measure 1 " in from one of your 8 1/2" edges. Starting 1 1/4" away from the 5 1/2" edge use a craft knife (or paper cutter) to cut from this 1 1/4" mark to the 7 1/2" mark. Flip over your paper and repeat along the other 8 1/2" edge.

STEP 3

CCMT53

You are now going to do some scoring in the 1" border you created. Using a scoring board, create score lines at the 1 1/4" mark, the 2" mark and the 5" mark. Make sure this core line only goes from one of the 8 1/2" mark to the 1" cut line you create. Flip over your paper and repeat along the other edge.

STEP 4

CCMT54

Working in the space between your cut lines, create a score mark at the 4 1/4" mark. Make sure you stop at the cut lines!

STEP 5

CCMT55

Fold your card so the 2" score line is a valley fold and all others are mountain folds. Using your bone folder to crisp up the folds. Decorate as you would like!
It's really that easy! Once you have those score lines in place you have a fun little fancy fold that fits in a regular envelope.
So, go pick up that cute ChiChi Memories freebie (and perhaps one or tow others as well ;)) and come join us for the challenge this month! We always love to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by!

Melissa

"Little Mr. Roboto!  Isn't he super cute?  I knew I needed to dig out some robot papers and found both Cosmo Cricket and Imaginisce in my stash that would coordinate perfectly with this stamp.  This stamp is available from Chi Chi Memories in the Costume Set 2 stamp collectionthe new release for October."

Kim

"This is Candace from the Halloween Costume 2 set. I colored Candace using Copic markers then fussy cut the image. I die cut 2 scallop squares from Spellbinder's Nestabilities set. I then added some dew drop and finished with a button and hemp."

Tuesday DT Showcase!

Hello CCM friends and happy Tuesday!
Are you ready for halloween? The CCM kids sure are.  :)
Jordy and Candace are all set for some trick or treating fun!

Lynda

"I knew I had to do something with these two cuties dressed as robots when I saw this new set of stamps.  I layered them close to each other and printed the images along with the sentiment together.  I then colored them with my Copics keeping with a simple grey and red color scheme.  I then mounted the image onto black, silver, and red cardstock.  I used the scraps to create the background pattern behind the image on my card base.  I do think they are the ultimate in cuteness overload!!!"

Alice

"This just goes to show you how versatile these adorable digis are.  I used the NEW Costume Set 2 on my card.  It’s a Halloween set, but I used it for something entirely different.  You can switch out the Lion digi for the Tiger or the Robots, your choice!"

Kerry

"Halloween trick or treat!  Isn't Candace super cute in her robot outfit?  And of course, I have to color her in pink! hehe!  She is from the new adorable Costume set 2."

Friday DT Showcase

Hello CCM friends and happy Friday to you!

Are you in love with the new Costume set 2?  We sure are.  :)
Here are a few more super fun projects.

Kim

"Candace is ready for Halloween in her adorable Halloween costume. I used a scallop border die and punched holes in the top of each scallop. I then added stitching and rounded the corners on the white and brown cardstocks. The banner is freehand and topped with brads."

Marcee

"I am in love with the October release! It is SO adorable. I used mostly soft colors on my card with some deep brown and added some yellow ribbon to match Jordy's costume. "

Melissa

"I decided to think a little out of the Halloween box with my inspiration and thought how fun it would be for young children to have their own little bookmark.  What a great way to keep reading exciting, just mark your page with Jordy, the lion boy. Tomorrow at bedtime he'll be waiting with your story book."

Karen

"I have two little gals at home that absolutely LOVE to dress up - as fairies, as princesses, as ponies and even as chickens!  So this new set from ChiChi Memories is just perfect!  There are so many cute images in this set, and while they are perfect for Halloween, they can also work for so many occasions - like this little appreciation card I made with Robot Girl Candace."
