Tuesday 7.29.14 DT Showcase

Tuesday is upon us again...and that means time so share with you some wonderful creations by our talented design team!!!

Lysa used the Casual Day image to create this wonderful card:

I thought this sweet Casual Day girl was just perfect for a 'missing you' type of card! Colored with copics in my current favorite color combo- orange & aqua! I completed my card using paper scraps, ribbon, sequins & washi tape!

***********************************************
Nikki created this awesome card featuring this adorable Prom Girl image:

This little "prom girl" is a total winner. I did a different technique with her hair by colouring it mostly solid then really going in with the clear (0) Copic mark and adding highlights. All in all, I was really happy with the way it turned out, not my typical way of doing hair. Her dress is covered with Green Stickle's to give it a really shiny appearance. I also added the black and white transparent bow to tie it all together. "Prom Girl" is a real dream to work with. Hope you enjoy her!

I (Lynda) created this card showcasing the My Teddy image:

I love this My Teddy image and knew that I wanted to create a card that showcased the special relationship between this cutie and her bear. She's colored with my copics. I created the card base using strips of cardstock and adhered them to my card base to look like a paint-chip card that you might find at the hardware store. This cute sentiment was perfect for my card along with the heart I cut out.

Mila created this wonderful project featuring Candy Girl:

The first time I saw Candy Girl fell in love with her hair! To remind me cotton candy! So cute!   So I made this Easel Card as if she were in the clouds ....in love! It was super cheerful and colorful! Coloring Candy Girl used Copics and used for the card Paper Digital Lilian Ellaboudy Modern Wedding

Friday 7.25.14 DT Showcase

Friday is such a fantastic day...and to kick off the weekend lets see what our designers have created for you this week:

Rachel has created this fantastic project featuring Funky Girl:

as I was away when the other ladies got to play with her last month, I used this image THIS month instead, as I think it is so sweet- my little girl has some play glasses just like this so it reminds me of her. the main backing paper is from Lilian Ellaboudy and the other pennants and stars are cut from papers in my offcuts pile!

***************************************
Patricia created this using "Beach Time Boy"

I decided to make a cute card for a boy using this lovely Surf Boy image, I used my Prismacolor pencils to color him, all cardstock are from the clutter on my desk and accent it with the orange bow at the bottom. I love the outcome of this card is so boyish!!!!

**********************************************
Jessie created this wonderful card using "Scooter Girl"

For my card this week, I used the super cute Scooter Girl with some SUPER happy paper from the My Mind's Eye Happy Day paper pad. What girl wouldn't be happy if she was out riding around on a super cute pink scooter on a beautiful summer day? I thought the WHEEEE sentiment went along with it perfectly, and added an element of fun as well.

Tuesday 7.22.14 DT Showcase

It's another Tuesday....so that means time to showcase some fabulous creations by our amazing designers!!!

Lysa had fun with our lovely digi from the Beach Time digi set:

I used the trio of girls image from the Beach Time set, but altered it a bit to add a 4th girl (it's the girl on the far left again, only flipped) to mimic this amazing photo of my nieces watching the sunset from our recent beach vacation! This is just one a many reasons why I love these digis- you can always find a way to make them more personal for cards and/or scrapbook layouts!

***********************************************
Nikki created this awesome card featuring the Handsome Boy image:

Who can resist this handsome boy? I decided to make a male inspired card this time with the super cute "Handsome Boy". He was so much fun to ink up and even more fun to put together into this card. I am not a huge fan of male cards (find them a little harder to do) but I absolutely LOVED working with this stamp. Of course I used my trustworthy Copic markers. I ACTUALLY picked the paper first which I have never done and quite frankly will do more often. I found it way more easier to put this card together. I added some button embellishments to bring it all together, Hope you enjoyed this card as much I did making it.

********************************************

I (Lynda) created this card showcasing some paper piecing using the Hello Girl 2 image:

I have to say that the Hello Girl 2 image is one of my absolute favorites. I just think she is perfect for all types of projects. For my card I colored her with my Copics and paper pieced her outfit and hairbow with digital papers from the Cottage Chic paper collection by Lilian Ellaboudy. I then used some of the same digital papers for the background for my card.

*************************************************

Mila created this wonderful project featuring Girl's Talk

This card I made with Girl Talk! Who doesn't like to talk on the phone or cell a lot?? It's fun and cool! I use Copics to color her and both Digital Papers of Lilian Lilellaboudy Design Cottage Chic

***************************************
Patricia created this using "Movie Time"

Nikki created this fabulous project featuring May Girl:

I am such a big fan of the lavender and pale turquoise blue together. This little darling is May Girl and she is perfect for any occasion. I added the flowers by cutting the image to make it look like she was really holding the bouquet. Thank Goodness it turned out.... I would have been upset if I had messed her up. Of course I inked her up with my favourite medium, Copics.

********************************************
